vwtyp2 ·

a great van.
super reliable, drives well.
straight, and never had holes cut in it.
looks good on the road, just needs to be dropped about 6"
rare model, small taillight and factory disc brakes

btw Brendan, Congrats on the single cab.

ColumBUS ·

it says its regoed in sa... is it with you in newtown now?

[Edited on 19-1-2005 by Kroozin_Kikko]

vwtyp2 ·

yeah, I sold it to Brendan, from S.A.
and sent it over to him in N.S.W.

[Edited on 19-1-2005 by Kai.A.]

vwtyp2 ·

yes, Loafy deserves a good home.
the guy I bought it from had it for 15 years.

kroozzn63 ·

its having a good response so far "i wish i had a shed to keep her ,but all energys must be put on the splitty.

wrecker67 ·

let me know how you went......
cheers

kroozzn63 ·

yeah rare baby "walk though to back"

ColumBUS ·

another quick question, how much rego is left on it?

kroozzn63 ·

S.A rego mid feb

Beerboy ·

can't get to the album am I doing something wrong.
whats the box and motor like.
Does it drive ok and how easy it is to renew the rego
thanks

vwtyp2 ·

drives bloody excellent.
motor was rebuilt about 6 or 7 years ago.
box is sweet too.
I think I've got the S.A. renewal form here somewhere, or I may have thrown it out.
needs new wheel bearings though.
not sure if Brendon did this or not. he was asking about the job though, so he may have.

Beerboy ·

sounds good, I am very interested do you have any more pictures at all?

vwtyp2 ·

theres some pics here.

Beerboy ·

thanks mate

kroozzn63 ·

motor and box good a bit of rust work "but u will need to blue slip her in nsw plus new wheel bearings . Are you putting in album :bsantry then the pin:tacuma

kroozzn63 ·

bounce the bay

Beerboy ·

got in thanks, needed to key it in and not cut and paste by the looks of it.

What will it need doing for the rego then? Whats a blueslip. Sorry I am not very up on your MOT's ;-) infact I know very little :blush

kroozzn63 ·

blue slip is a roadworthy slip done by an acredited person ie : mechanic that checks all rust mechanicals electrics etc for
saftey to allow it to be registered its a small fee but you will need to do some welding and putty and small paint "wheel bearings "i here is a basic job but not one that ive done ,check the lights are all good etc i drove it in the day "the horn dosent work but stereo does umm motor is perfect gear box perfect brakes perfect umm yeah mainly body work but as u will see on the pics not to bad but they will check everywhere on the blue slip so you will have to get it right the first time

Beerboy ·

thanks for the reply, looks a really good van for the price, wheel bearings front are a pretty easy job and so are the rear ones too. Or at least I don't remember it being too bad a job when I did mine on the back. Think you have to dismantle the rear a little thats all. Underneath looks pretty solid too.
