Just back from the Canberra Rod and Kustom Krooze.

What a weekend! Will post some pics later this week.

Saw this posted on another forum I frequent written by a guy with a 34 Ford with a HUGE V8!

one of the high-lights was cruisin back to sydney and seeing this VW van flying past us (like a sidevalve punchin it down the salt) then pulling over 5K ahead and takin snap shots of the rods cruisin past him.... I met the dude driving the Van at the next servo stop.... said his name was "HOT ROD MATT"... nice to meet you Matt, cant wait to see the photos... Go easy on that poor VW.
What a hoot to read! A VW being the highlight of a rodders weekend! Guess not many people see a kombi at 85mph.

You should try and get over to Adelaide for the Tanunda show in the Barossa (I know its a big drive but), I went last year (or was it 2003 ? not sure) but that was a fantastic show - cars came all the way from QLD, and you couldnt get a better setting for a hot rod show than the heart of the Barossa valley....

Always a hoot to get compliments about your vw like that isnt it ?
