I popped in the other day for a general squiz and saw this. Was $5500 the other day so looks like the price is dropping fast!
Looked like it needed a fair of rust work done but I didn't look to closely because the sign said 'do not touch'!
I guess for the price you couldnt expect anything but a fair bit of rust.
Shannons also had a great looking Split Kombi Campervan coming up for auction...some time mid February I think. Looks like it will go for some serious money though.

Saw the split kombi dropped to the floor and crawled underneath. Didn't look like there was any visible rust, tapped a few cross members and they sounded good. There was one spot that I tapped and it sounded a bit dull as opposed to that sound when you tap metal, I think it may have been either a sill under the doors (rear ones) or the b pillar area. (I can't read shannons signs when I my eyes have already glazed over - besides I didn't see the signs till I was looking into the mustang they had for sale afterwards).
Overall I think it looked very good.

Pretty good price. Depends on the rust I spose. Easily spend $10K on panel and paint with one of these. Might go and have a look at it tomorrow.

It does look good. Will give it that, but I am not an expert.

Hey penguin..which kombi did you look at? The one in Melbourne or is there another elsewhere? Just curious bud.
I'm referring to the split kombi camper in Melbourne which seemed pretty nice to me.
