I have tried here before with no luck but you never know! I am looking for a pair of mesh headlight guards for a 1967 beetle. They were a dealer accessory in the 60's. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm after a set as well. after you of course. There are also the porsche 356 ones that are more like a grille as well.

dannyboy67 - very sweet. What was approx price of the grille versions on the beetle? How did u manage to find the mesh ones for the type3?

plnorris ·

t2, thx for the tip. Their web site must be down at the moment. Will try again later.

Fell lucky with the mesh ones , grabbed them off Crazy George for $60! They are mint aswell! Mmmm nice
The 356 ones weren't cheap and alot of mods to do. You also need to buy 2 sealed beam units with park light and hi/lo globes and mount them in your headlight assembly. Definatly worth the hassle and money though , they look the tits! Whole thing costs about $220-240 to do and i got all the parts from US.
