What is this from please 36HP, 40HP??

its from a 36hp the 40s didnt have a crank start

Its also got a large cut out where the 36 fuel pump sits and diffeerent cut ous where the inlet mainfold pre heat tubes sit

And its from a Kombi as the Beetles didnt have crank handle options.

what else do you need to know

dont remember any 36 hp Industrial engines

Its deffiently 36 horse look at the fuel pump cut out section

I reckon its kombi tin as opposed to an Industrial motor! The industrial motors had squarer tin. The 122A is a 1200 motor, but its a 40hp Here is a pic of a 122A:-
