i was just putting a set on my 61 headlights and whilst i was trying to remove the springs on the back and one flicked out and just missed my eye very scarey!! so wear saftey glasses or something these little things are dangerous

Yeh, onr of those springs clouted me in the eye a while back, blinded for two dayz, so at least wear your sunnys eh!

Yes those springs are tensioned a lot....
Very lucky to find them when they go twang....
unless they hit You in the eye of course....
Us oldies who wear glasses all the time are immune to that type of damage....
unless of course Your glasses are made of glass.... which is NOT normal these days.....

yeh Matt still got the old dear, in the mists of adding bumbers, olde school look, done some rust repairs etc, also she is on her ass, scraping the muffler as she goes, sparks away..

yeah i put a set on my beetle recently and the same twang thing happened and hit me on the chin.. :o
not discouraged and amid my gf amusement the next one nearly took out her eye :duh
whissed past her head by mm... very scary!
( although i wouldn't of felt a thing )
at least wear sunnies when attempting this at home! 😎
