if you can trace the prob to be the hinges
then soak them in oil , wd40, crc, anything.
rusty streaks will develop down the paintwork
then slowly work the hinges loose.
failing that post me a pic and perhaps (i aint seen the model)
...the pins can be knocked out like on a door of aroom.
OR is it the lock ?

Thanks Karmen,
I'll try a flood of wd40, but I think it's the snib. Like there's the hole you put the little gadget in to turn the snib..
I don't have the gadget but the guy said a screwdriver should work. (?)

The hole accepts what is called a chuch key
This is square and about 1 cm wide, a screw driver should work.
Look inside the hole so you know what size screwdriver to use. It turns to the right, clockwise
Cheers
