I was on another thread, talking about need for a new video, and i began to hijack it...actually i did...so in respect of the persons original post, I am starting another
I will begin with why i need a new DVD video player.
My darling son learnt he could reach the darned thing,a dn so began to put foreign object into it.
well it handled most thing ok, but the whole dvd followed by the video did it. It died, and so i need a new one.
but out of all my kids, he is by far not the worst.
I have a daughter who ate a thumbtack. painted herself green, so she could be more liek the trees, glued her hair so it would stick up like a simpson...took off at the drop of a hat should she spy a great ride (died at a fair when she did this...and we only went once)
My son, who thought climbing on the roof to jump into the pool was good fun
my other daughter who cut her sister hair until it was spikey....
arrgghhh
And most of it happened when my kids were with others....so no, u can't say I wasn't caring for them well enough!
please tell me u have kids like this...I CANNOT be the only one.
bugeyedbabe ·

2 for me so far, one boy 9. one girl 6, number 3 well and truly in the oven 17 weeks to go but dont know what it is yet 😉.. now when i say trust me she is by far the worst by far i mean it ... she was in the car the other day and burst into tears ... i was asking her why and she said it was cuz i said the "f" word at her... both me and my better half were stumped as i never direct the "f" word at the kids.. mite do it sometimes under my breath when the spanner slips heheee ,, anyhows i asked her to just this one say the f word and she said.... "bloody" she thought it was the f word... i almost crashed the car i was laughin so much. she also told my wifes 74 year old gran she was about to die soon as she has lots of wrinkles and that means she is old and will die very soon.... told my wifes granddad that she wanted to name his baby when he had it( he had a rather round and large belly) to be honest thats only the tip of it all... lol
steff.................................
bugeyedbabe ·
yeah...now how that goes...
12yo was forever getting me in the pooh...
7 times to the school in her 1st year...arrrghhhh
bugeyedbabe ·
Once when leaving her preschool, they told me it was nice we got a dog for Ally...
so on way out I asked her what they were talking about....she said'''just keep walking mum, i'll explain...
how i have come to hate those words...
bugeyedbabe ·
i was once told i shouldn't be making Ally feed all our farm animals...
I asked what they were talking about...
she told them i made her feed the dog cat cows ducks chickens and goats b4 school.
i lived on a 600mtr block, and did not own any of the above....
ColumBUS ·
bugeyed, i did half of that stuff ur children do... last week!
jumping off the roof into the pool is the raddest fun, you should see the bike jump we have at my mates place, it points into their dam say no more
bugeyedbabe ·
oh dear...
my daughter tried the whole roof thing, then got scared,
too scared to move in fact...so there was mum, up the roof, trying to convince her baby to come on down...
ARRGGGHHHHHH!!!
bugeyedbabe ·
did i menyion I had a fear of heights...
so got up there, panicced, parnter cracked up laughing his ass off...
I got so cranky at him, that was the reason i got down
ColumBUS ·
gotta love those fearless children eh?
i have a fear so bad that i freeze whener i see it
but im not telling you what it is... :P
bugeyedbabe ·
spider, snakes, cockroaches.......
promise not to bring it to valla if ya tell me.
can't speak for the other though
ColumBUS ·
no no and no
youll never guess it, but i think pyro knows
bugeyedbabe ·
fire
ColumBUS ·
nope
bugeyedbabe ·
i have one for fire and matches...a bottle exploded in an incinerator once.
and i have told my kids again and again not to flick matches and lighters around me...
So xmas day, my son does, and get this: million to one shot, lands down my shirt inside my bra and burns me....
he ran off he was so upset at what happened
bugeyedbabe ·
okay...what about stale & wasted beer
bugeyedbabe ·
mornings??
bugeyedbabe ·
water??
kids perhap...nope u work with them
bugeyedbabe ·
i have to go to bed...will ponder what u could be scared off...
and I am finally member of the day at 159 post today.
cheerio all
littlebugga ·
and this is the reason i do not have children!!!
the jumping off the roof thing into the pool we used to do quite a bit when in high school and intoxicated.
there was always a few who took it too far. buggered off the pool and started doing backflips off the second story onto the ground:duh
ColumBUS ·
hehehehe love that one... thats a byron bay schoolies trick that one!
anyone heading to mardi gras this weekend? im bein dragged by a female... my dad will never forgive me ; biggest homophobe ever. when i told him i wanted to be in the theatre he almost cried (WHAT! not a labourer? no sweat or blood or tears for minimum wage?)
bugeyedbabe ·
have fun at mardi gras man....
not going in brisbsy....
but what a full weekend u have...dyno day, mardi gras
Fossil ·
hey babe my family is disfucntional that's why I disassociate myself from them - that's mother, sister and to a lesser extent brother and their families
bugeyedbabe ·
mine, as u can see, is way dysfunctional....
that is why we stay together
at home at least...we're all normal, its the reat of the world that is weird..
hehe
bugeyedbabe ·
hey...something is wrong...my computer is saying that i am still member of the day...
bugeyedbabe ·
i'm getting my new fridge today...getting my new fridge today
bugeyedbabe ·
my son is picking the sultanas and cherry peices out of some biscuits i bought, and leaving the rest...YUCK!!!
Brett ·
My 1 year old is not too bad yet. He does do a runner for the strawberry patch whenever he is put down outside. Has even learnt to self serve the ripe ones. Thankfully you can not get to the blackberry bush yet.
Brett
bugeyedbabe ·
wait....ur turn will come.
chasinga child down the round because shoes = walk.
not going out, not driving....walking.
he picks otu the sultanas cause thats his favorite.....he loves the looks of lollies, btu hates teh tase. so I am forever buying food he won't eat. the guy at the lolly shop loves him, so each week i go, and adian picks out a car full of lollies, sister eats lollies, and he gets car. so kinda works in the end.
Starbug ·
brett: you should be glad your son is taking an interest in fruit at such a young age, and not sugary plastic fake food like most people 😉
Starbug ·
same for you bugeyedbabe... its pretty rare for a kid to like sultanas more than lollies these days!
squizy ·
My lil fella shat in the bath on his first birthday. My stepson is on lunchtime detention today [in year 1....:cussing].....and my daughter is being undermined by her mothers skank dress sense [I am not with her mother anymore....:thumb]
Oh...and number 4 is on the way. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Squiz....
squizy ·
I broke my leg when I was 3 - I fell off the toilet trying to reach the toothpaste. :duh:duh
Squiz....
bugeyedbabe ·
my son loves the following:
carrots, celery, lettuce, brolloli and cucumber....ever gone somewhere and ordered a plate of cucumbers...lol
oh, but his all time favorite food is tomatoes with a little (and i mean little) salt.
Doesn't like cordial or sugary food. Dos like diet coke, btu not real coke (too sweet i guess) prefers lemon soda, or lemonade though.
yeah...my daughter fell on her knees in a hall, straight onto a music stand and needed stitches....so whenw e took her to get stitched up so starting screaming her lungs out...only stopping to take abite of her long snake lolly...
she also asked the doctor if they could "just kill me...please" instead. As u do right.
my eldest son has jumped off a fence (wooden) and tore his foot open on a nail.....ouch!
my sister let me son loose in the back yeard when he had just turned two...only for him to climb up a tree and so far out of her reach...i had to get up there and get him back. He laughed and giggled the entire time. My sister said i looked like a koala bear getting her baby.
squizy ·
I've also cut my head open 5 times. Tripped over my borther legs playing cars and cracked into the door jam [3 stiches], walked into a wooden swing [4 stiches], had a tin can thrown at me [no stiches], had another tin can swung at me in a plastic bag [no stiches], and fell off my bike [no stiches].....all before I was 12. Also dislocated my kneecap playing cricket a few years ago now. If anyone hasn'y seen a dislocated kneecap - think about pushing your kneecap around to the outside of your knee - you'll get the picture.
Squiz....
bugeyedbabe ·
i haven't had any broken bones...just lots of bleeding and stitches.
and cause i handle it so well, i get called in for my nephew...his mother faints at sight of blood.
bugeyedbabe ·
ouch squizy..
i myself have been pretty accident free...at least the physical ones...
my kids are making up for it in droves...
my son has a disslocated shoulder (from birth) which, because he has a high pain theshold, and therefore no crying...it wasn't noticed of r2 weeks
he has put his foot through a bike wheel and ripped off the skin ont he bottom (started wearing shoes after that..)
choke on xmas eve..actually turned blue. purple lips...everyone at party stopped & panicked, and so I tipped him upside down, and his dad hit his back firmly to dislodge it...u know..one hand on back..other hitting his own hand....if u hit it directly for a young child u can break their ribs.
fell into a swimming pool/ he was hugging an aunty from behind...she turned around, and he fell straight in...she went into shock...just stood there....i had to run over to get him out (he was going in for the third time)
ohhh. the things he's done...adn hes only 2.5yo
Queen_Bug ·
"biggest homophobe ever"
My dad's not, he once asked me if I was a lesbian....that was a weird conversation.
I have a huge family....we've all done some really stupid things....can't remember any right now though, but it'll come to me.
bugeyedbabe ·
i think we try to 'not remember' for a reason
I'm waiting until old age, and then all the silly things we've done will keep me laughing until I die.
I came from large family too...their were eleven of us. three have passed away.
we did everything....especially the naughty stuff.
blowing up cars - brother
exploding fire - brother (got me though)
moving car without looking (he was only 6 after all)- another brother
my sister who stayed out with friends at xmas, got drunk, couldn't come home.....mum & dad were so angry...all the xmas pressies were inteh back under blankets...lol
so many memories...
but now it's my kids turn
so silly to see them doing same things we did, but getting caught....and hear my mum say...u did that u know.....
my daughter once tried throwing heself up in a towel (remember throwing ppl in a blanket...she thought she could do it herself)
bugeyedbabe ·
i have heaps of tiem to talk...no fridge, no car....just waiting
Boozer ·
no stitches, though I should have had them on four separate occasions. Dad just puts a band-aid on it even if it's down to the bone (machete on hand). But then that's not suprising considering my Dad has had a angle grinder disc explode on him and a peice about the size of a half of one go into his calf. he just tied his sock around it and walks to the car and get driven the hour to the hospital. (this was up at my farm near Warwick). I shoulda had stitches that time in school when my mate chucked a bit of tile at me in the pool, and I went to catch it to throw it back and it was pointy and speared into my hand inbetween the knuckles of my 1st and 2nd fingers. I got in trouble for getting out of the pool untill the teacher saw my hand. I had a whole towel wrapped around it. Then one of my other friends accidentally slashed my arm open with a razor in art. (I got him back a month later when I punched him and he passed out and fell off the desk and hit his head on the desk and the chair on the way down. thats when he found out he had a low pain threshold) The same guy also embedded a inch long piece of graphite from a pacer in my arm (it's still there) when he went to punch me and forgot he was holding it. Then Riiaan/Blackmath stabbed me in the hand when I went to sit on the loungechair he was on. :duh
I've got too much scar tissue....
Fossil ·
I had my nose broken (only break I've had but plenty of dislocations) by a soup bowl accidently thrown at a party then had to re-set the nose myself - only thing you can see from the event is the scar where the bowl sliced the skin open
Fossil ·
Also had plenty of stitches
Fossil ·
Worst dislocations were the right collarbone ion at the neck and when put back it the ambo pinched the nerves so walked around for 6 months with the head tilted to the right side - then dislocated it again geeting on the Perisher triple chair and had to put it back in myself while the mate with me threw up on the skiers below- all's good now.
Fossil ·
Left should had to have a reconstruction as I had dislocated it about 5 times a week for 2 years and pinned also as the pectoral muscle was totally destroyed - ah the joy of pain adn having to put it back in - makes Mel Gibson's efforts look like he's a pussy
bugeyedbabe ·
head tiliting would have looke funny..not felt funny, but looking it.
I have no stitches (except from child birth....and that is a WHOLE other story, not to be told unless I am drunk, or ur drunk...one of the two)
but my kids do..
my daughter was mucking around in shower...u know dancing singing to brush etc...slipped, reached out for soap holder, it broke, and some how feel bakcwards so it cut her arms open.....ouch
i am so grateful i have seniour first aid certs...
guy giving it to me thought i was funny f**k
in every answer they ask, how woudl u fix this....i'd answer ring ambulance, get them to send a car (it's free u know..and we keep them employed this way) get them to talk me through whole procedure untill someone smarter (and who's not vommitting) arrives.
i got top points..
he said everytime the first thing to do is call and ask...
inc ase u do something wrong that makes things worst.
ALSO FOR THOSE THAT DON'T KNOW.....DO NOT CALL 000 ON UR MOBILE...CALL 112 WORLDWIDE OKAY!
every carrier in every country HAS AGREED THAT SHOULD SOMEONE ON A MOBILE CALL 112 THEN regardless of whether there is any credit, or carrier is not in that area, u will be patched into an emergency service closest to u.
so remember, mobiles are 112.
helps with kids like mine
bugeyedbabe ·
fossil, ur da man....
crazy man that is.
why did u not go get the surgery??
bugeyedbabe ·
still no fridge and no tea...
i need a cup of tea...
i'd do anything for one...
bugeyedbabe ·

bugeyedbabe ·
i so badly need a cup of tea...

Fossil ·

Fossil ·

Fossil ·
re nose - was in the Solomon Islands working and it happened @ 2.00 am when were all pissed
Fossil ·
t'was the only option - had into the esky, grabbed the ice -cupped it the hands around the nose until I felt nothing then snapped it back
Fossil ·
damn bowl coming at me and zigged and syead of zagged - broke the bowl the f'n thing
bugeyedbabe ·
yehhh but u got to bring something home u didn't need to declare to customs..
i was talking about ur shoulder...u said it kept popping out all the time...why not get it fixed asap, ratehr than yrs later??
didn't it make u wanna :cry in pain??
Fossil ·
shoulder well that originated in the Solomon's running the hash house harriers. didn't trust them up there as others who had surgery usually ended up with major infections - and hey it was a good party joke to pull
Fossil ·
no real :cry pain to speak off. wake up at 2.00 am and it's popped out so pop it back in - problem was trying to sit up in bed to do it
Fossil ·
Krazy am I - wife says the same - it keeps me sane
~air fooled~ ·
hmmmmm, i have too many scars to remember them all, last count was 50+ from memory.... some of the more memorable ones from my childhood...
cracked my fore head open rolling down the stairs for fun. smashed it open on the concrete and now have a scar across the forehead but in a wrinkle line so not too noticeable
numerous scars on my head from riding without a bike helmet and doing jumps and subsquently stacking it many a time... i refrain from shaving my head as i look like a chess board hahahah
seven sets of dog bites courtesy of 7 different dogs. 1 on my foot, 3 on my legs, 2 on my arms and 1 beside my eye.
5cm scar along the bottom of my foot from trying to kick a football on my grandads verandah on my birthday. turns out the football was on top of a nail that had risen up. 😠 YOUCH
hmmmm, 3 knee operations, drilling, screws etc
racing my bmx through some red lights, standing up really givin it a fang and swayin the handlebars side to side i pulled em a bit to far and they jacknifed. i went over the top and the lack of hand grips on the handlebars meant the open ended bar dug into my thing right beside my man bit as i went airborne over the top. got a scar the size of a 50 cent piece at least there, farkin hurt too...
scar on my guts from when i did a big jump on the bmx and the handlebars decided to come apart from the rest of the bike mid air. turns out the goose neck was rusted to the doghouse and the remainder of it stickin out took me out when i hit the deck...
ahhh, too many power tool injuries to talk about..
i think im spent for now... there is loads more but i repress them hahaha!
you should see my father though.. use to work on trawlers.. now is was one tough scarred bastard.. he would of cut himself open big time with a grinder or something and wouldnt of even noticed it but will be standing in a pool of blood.. not even gettin run over a mini truck could stop him..
bugeyedbabe ·
hey, ur handle bars one...my nephew has that oen as well...shit loads of stitches..
he also had one on ahc of his wrists...now let me thik, the last one was when he fell ontop of a broken bottles....the other was he fell thru a door, or punched it...
fossil, ur wifes rite...ur crazy
Julie-Anne ·
a little while ago we were out in the park near our house playing football when i spied a big beehive hanging off a tree.....we all went over to investigate and grabbed the digi camera for some pics....it was as big as a small tyre and i said to daughter no 2 (6yo) don't touch, disturb or throw anything at that beehive as mummy is so allergic if I get stung I will die. So she looks me point blank and picks up a stick and throws it straight at the beehive.
Thank god she missed otherwise you fine folk would have never heard this story.
She's the devil incarnate - blonde haired blue eyed devil.
Julie-Anne ·
once when we were kids we were out on a family fishing expedition up the goulburn river near seymour....my younger brother was attempting to fly fish and of course i had to walk right behind him just as he was casting off....got a nice lure in my cheek about 2 cms below my eye.
i hate fishing.
bugeyedbabe ·
not surprised julie-anne
hmm..not going fishing with my crew...i am sure that'd be next for me...
i am stilling waiting for my fridge...
~air fooled~ ·
HAHAHHAHa they were both good...
bugeyedbabe ·
now my kids are saying i need a cup of tea....
Fossil ·
:bounce:bounce:bounce lol too much fun
Doug Sweetman ·
You people crack me up. I thought I had problems !!
littlebugga ·
is it bad that i'm cracking up laughing reading about your pain??
heaps of scars, only broken 2 bones so far, my little toe, and my butt.
snapped the bottom of my tailbone off pretending to surf, sliding on the moss at the top of a waterfall. i was sick at the time so was on so many painkillers i didn't notice anything was wrong until two days later, after i'd climbed a mountain, 8 hrs each way and couldn't find anymore panadol...
no offense, but i'm so glad i'm not bugeyedbabe or fossil. you guys deserve a medal...
bugeyedbabe ·
no...
we deserve first aid kits..lol..fully stocked free for a yer, and we pick which year...i can tell which ones will be bad....
if one of kids make a trip to hospital in the 1st quarter, then it will be an interesting year. I've already done one trip (thanks to sons) so i want my first aid kit this year.
u know it's bad when u hear..."mum something happened and i don't want u to be upset alright"
I always put on my poker face...the one without emotions of any sort, reassure them that i will kill, but i can save it for later...
and no, it's not bad to luagh as other ppls pain, unless ur doing in the emergency ward....(I've done that, not good)
