Was interested if wide 5 stud brake drums cun be drilled legally in nsw to take small 5 stud as i have been told you can. If so has anyone done it or reccomend someone who can. Thanks

I think you will find that you will need to convert to later-model small-four to accept any custom PCDs such as Holden/Ford

Firstly, the'd need to be machined to do so, but more importantly, I'm almost certain it's illegal to do so in NSW. RIng an engineer first coz you'll need a certificate to swap anyway.

petes right any change to the brakes requires a engineers you would be better getting undrilled drums and getting them drilled in the patten you want

To do it illegally, Make sure that the drum is thick where You are going to drill...

I believe that the drums are thick ONLY where they were originally drilled...
I remember someone on here saying that they had drilled new holes and they had a crash, and the brake drum broke up as the thickness at the new holes was too thin.....
and their insurance company wouldn't pay up...
