Been offered a weird type 3 KG, Really weird this time!!! Denim Early KG!! YES DENIM!!!

Help needed. Does anyone remember a KG that was covered in Denim , inside and out. Appartantly it's clued on to the car! and the interior retrimmed in denim!!! Thinking maybe it may have been used in Ozzy film or advert from the 80's. Car is a hardtop and mid 60's vintage.
Car has sat undercover , under a tarp since being used , 20 years ago. I'm off to have a look this week and going with an open imagination , sounds pretty crazy to me . Without peeling all the denim back how the hell am i going to see what it's like?? The mechanics aren't a worry but i know KG panels etc are well expensive. I'm hoping that behind all the denim is a rust free body however looking at the project as a whole it's a big one. New paint , interior etc etc. Saying that i wont be parting with alot of $$$ for it.
Anyone know anything on a denim glad KG?????????????

Not heard of it on a KG, but it was a variation VW tried to sell more beetles. It was done by the factory and I think it was stitching painted on the panels. I have never seen one here.

It doesn't ring a bell to me for anything that ran in Sydney on TV in the 80's.

i think 2sm had denim clad bugs in the 70s if i remember correctly ,but that was in my early teens(showing my age now)
