The sump pump fits in place of the original oil pump. It runs like 2 pumps running side by side. The inner one pumped oil out of the crank case, the outer one pumped it back in. Its a Shadeck brand. I blocked ports, and cut ports so that it ran like 2 seperate pumps though. However... I am going to use that to repay a debt so it has been withdrawn from the maket. Sorry.

fozee wrote:What model Haltech do you have?
Haltech E6. Controls Fuel and ignition. Still havent worked out a price on it. Cos I want to sell the injectors and ignition module and coil and fuel regulator, and hal distributor with it, but then that will probably price it too high. Still thinking.

They are Type 4 cranks.
71 mm (2 litre) standard crank with rods $250
71mm counterweighted, selling with rods (bushed down to take 94B pistons) with the pistons, with the bored out to suit 1800 barrells $500. That is if they are in good nick when I strip the engine.
amazer ·
Not cars. Not so much VW's, just fast ones. Will keep my kombi runabout (for now at least) and I'm keeping my oval and 36 horse stuff. Just... anything newer than 1956 is going going goooone. I hope.

Hmm I have about 3 or 4 pairs of heater boxes, surely at least 2 will be good. Cant say for sure.
There are 2 types. Earlier ones have the round pipes which seal with copper ring. Later have square ports that seal with a gasket (I think). A 76 should have the round ports like I have. If I have good ones that need no repairs $50each, price dropping per condition.

dub058 wrote:what type are the bumpers im chasing single blade with overwiders for a 1958 model thanks.
Nah these are late type 3 bumpers. Also, closer inspection shows front one to be... ok, from a mile away... I remembered that I cut the front one to fit oil cooler. Rear one is fine though.

Since you're a local, you'll have to drop in and have a look. I reckon panels will range from $50 to $100.

Interested in the oil cooler. What type is it???
beerdoc ·
4 stud steelies will they fit super?
68AutoBug ·
4 stud steel wheels fit all Beetles from 1968>
including the supers 1302S & 1303S...
Late Kombies are 5 stud...
Lee
amazer ·
The oil cooler is a serck 235mm 19 row. Very high quality stuff.
It has JIC hydraulic fittings on it. I will include the necessary pushloc fittings for 1/2 inch hose. Similar to this
The wheels are 15 x 6, not 15 x 7 as i originally posted. They will fit all 4 stud beetles, type 3's etc in the way of bolt pattern. They will fit under the guards of a type 3 easily. I wouldnt like to say if they would fit under other cars, especially a super as the strut front ends might make things tricky. They may, they may not, im just not sure enough to say that they will.
type_one ·
Any pics of the type3 IRS rear end. May be interested. Not wquite sure what you mean but think i understand. A pic would help if not too much trouble.
Cheers
amazer ·
OK, so a regular IRS type 3 looks like this (stolen pic, sorry)
Which is (usually) fine for normal use. It relies on the engine mounts to hold the entire weight (and horsepower) of the engine. If you have too much horsepower then the standard type 3 mounts can pull away from the body. Which is why I have used the swingaxle rear end. The frame 'horns' take some of that load. I cut the brackets out of an IRS rear ad welded them into the IRS. My only digital camera is my video camera so the pic quality isnt good.
amazer ·
The diagonal arms are just sitting on the floor.
amazer ·
Disregard that aluminium mount, that was for the berg kombi gearbox mounts (which I still have too). You can use them, leave them, or cut them off.

hey do you still have the type 3 front and rear window seals, if you do are they new, and do they have the chrome strip around them i am very interested.
cheers steve.

The seals are like new, but cal style, no chrome strip.
Turbo54 ·
94mm B pistons
Hi,
Are you interested in selling seperately? Are they new? What Brand?
Cheers, Turbo54
amazer ·
Would prefer not to split as then I would have a set of rods bushed for beetle pistons, and an empty set of 2 litre barrels making them harder to sell.
But you never know, I could be perusaded. They arent new, but very good used condition. Brand... I cant remember, is there any way I can tell? they arent stamped with a brand.
amazer ·
I think i might have screwed up and deleted one u2u too many. if you sent me one and havent got a reply... then I'll need it again.
