Hey there i don't hav a 68 radio but i do hav a 61 that i want to get rid of, Sorry no digital camera so i can't get a picture 2 u yet

Hi Empi,

Do you know what year that is from? I think the model I need is a Motorola Sapphire, not sure though. Thanks anyway gerbie but I might keep looking around a bit.

Motorola and sapphire(which is made by Bendix) are two different types. BOth though made radios for that period....although there were a number of makers of radios that went into vw's

Is there anyway to find out what was common on Aussie cars or where all different? I just want it to look right, doesn't have to be perfect.

I dont know too much about later bugs, but Empi's radio looks like ones I have seen in other 68-69 bugs, so that would suit your car.....As I said though, I dont know too much about them.
