rear guards are very wide....
I wonder if the rear valance is removeable or just painted another colour??

Nothing wrong with them, just that some other carbs are a little more 'right'. Kads are a great lower end carb, just thought that this car would have a more impressive carb arrangement as some other parts seem a little more 'up-market'.

i dont know how that belongs to but i met a young bloke(about my age)that had a restored 56 grey oval at the doctors the other day.in brissy,dropped with whitewalls and a roofrack!!pretty cool guy and the interior was still all original.times like that when i miss driving my 58:thumbhe said hes registered on the forum but hasnt been on for a while...

Don't think its a diff colour. Look at the reflected colour on the drivers side. I think its just the light and the angles of the guards etc. The colour on the bottom edge blends into the drivers rear guard, while the lighter colour is the same all the way up towards the oval wondow. On the passenger side its darker, so thats why I think its the light.
