I ride a 58' Ariel Huntmaster 650 twin while dad just picks one of his other 5 bikes . His current resto project is a 1929 Ariel Red Hunter . :blah:blah

Well I ride my luck a hell of a lot,
but got a few push bikes (road and track... I sold my MTB a few years back)

This was before I go the tank fixed (it had lots of holes in it) and before I moved to QLD.

For years I commuted on an old XR200 but finally upgraded to a nice Yamaha FZ6 - comfortable for commuting especially since I take my wife to work on it everyday (had to have "sensible seating")

Ive been riding bikes since I was 6 got busted a couple of times riding my dads GSX 750 to high school (no licence).
Had several large capasity bikes and crashes to go with them.
Just have an original 1970 Triumph 650 twin at the moment (only 36 000 mile).
Twoguns has the right idea Frasers had a ride day here for Buel and I got my hands on a 900 with race exhaust bloody awsum mate. When the house is finished Ill be adding one of those to the collection.
Cheers Nige

i've thought about it but it's too expensive. also the only reason i would get a bike is to go very effing fast. i reckon i'd be too scared to push a bike that hard anyways.
DubCrazy ·
oooo bikes the second best thing to a VW...
Pro rider in the motor cross scene in the uk for a number of year so used to get two bike every 6 months from sponsership... gotta love honda :P and towards the end yamaha:P
road bikes had to many to list over the years but the big fav was the fire blades and the old gsx'r 1100 done as an outright street fighter, never had the plesure of owning a duke yet so one day i will.
since being in aus i have had a couple of crossers but no road bikes, speed limits are to slow and bloody kangaroos can be a bit of a pain so for now a road bike is going to be down the list, well maybe:duh
when funds permit a WR 426 or the KTM510 is on the cards but i am broke so once again a fair way off 🙁
steff.............
Midlife crisis ·
I had a Suzuki GS 550 and TS 250 trail bike.

backpack, maps, gps & big tank & i'm outta here...
You want to make me feel old, you ask about my bike.
I bought a GS 400 twin, brand spanking new in 1978.
It's now officially vintage, & I still got it.
Never been dropped, never been raced, NEVER been ridden by anyone but me, & it's been pushed home ONCE in 27 years.

so how often does it get ridden?
Spook ·
In the last few years, not as often as I'd like.
But it was my only form of transport for a lot of years. Don't think I keep it in cotton wool. Not sure whether it's on it's 8th or 9th trip round the clock.

wrecker67 ·
hey sax nice bike ,sweet, what year is it,did you build it up..
cheers
sax ·
I rebuilt the bike, all new everything motor, box, rims, paint etc.
It's had a few different looks over the year$ but this is it's final build.
Pipes will change depending on mood, have an original twin pipe setup
which sounds great.
Still needs some sorting before I can ride it (stuck rear brake, clutch probs etc) It's a 1970 shovelhead 1200.
A fun ride, but constant maintenance is the go with these.
