what sort of grease for this?

and...

when you take the torsion bars out it releases the pressure and they move down!

do you put them back in in the position they come out - as seems possible, or do you have to re-apply the torsion, which seems difficult!

perhaps should of left them in, bt I wanted to see whether they needed greasing!!!!

the grease seems obvious now - and I was told rubber grease for the bushes

The rubber bushes go on dry so ive heard, maybe some talcum powder.:thumb

best to put them back at the same angle (unless you want o lower or left them). once the tension has been released. you should have measured this. best way is to put a trolley jack under them and jack them up and then put some pressure on the end plate to pull them over the lip (also use a large screw driver, but be VERY VERY careful, as there is alot of force in them if they slip!!)

Use plenty of Moly black grease ..... you need a protractor to set up the correct angle for the trailng arm.
