you wouldn't know where to get mk1 performance parts ?

I have a mk1 gl, with Gti grill and interior. with a mk2 Gti motor. jamex suspension (plus a spare set of koni). iam looking for short shift kit and also extractors for the mk2 gti motor?

I had a look on Ebay and there was a fair amount of Mk1 performance parts, including GTi grills but the cost of shipping one from the UK could be high and it would be faster to get one already in Australia.


I think the net is your best bet for perf. parts local suppliers + buyers seem to have given up on Mk1 golfs:o

no way would I give up on mk1's!!!!! 😉

have grille needs repairing.. Obviously lights are worth they're weight in gold.. but anyway... Extractors u could get done at ur local muffler joint..or u can wait. friend upgrading his bottom end in his Mk2 Jetta to 2 litre. And his dad owns muffler shop 😉 !!!

Extractors for Golf Mk1s can be purchased brand new for $250 from Straightline Performance (02) 9670 6300. I have two sets for sale also, one new, one used. I also have 2 GTI style Grilles. One oldskool one with the 10 slat grille, with lights $150 and one later style one with 5 slats, as per the late style cabrios, with lights, but not genuine ones! $125.
