A female friend of mine has a 1973 L Bug and is sick of the huge stock steering wheel. Ive explained the whole steering dynamics, but she is adamant that she wants to change it.
Wondering if anyone has a decent one, not to expensive on the go.
Im doing this as a favour, so I dont really want to spend much cash, so if you have a really expensive one, keep it!
Im in Hawthorn, VIC, if anyone can help.
Cheers
Tom

just explain to her that on a 1303 (padded dash) the smaller steering whell sits right in the line os vision of the speedo. Sitting normally you cant see if you are doing 60 - 70- 80 ect. You need to look over or under the wheel.
Just as long as she understands :thumb

you can buy my sports steering wheel.. $3500 and you get a free '71 superbug!
but seriously, mine is fairly small and I love it - feels alot tighter than the last bug i drove with the big stock one. can see the speedo easy as well, but that's probably because i'm tall!

nah, all you need to know is that if you can't see the speed, you're doing 70 or 80 :P

Sports wheel is fine but getting the boss for older cars can be an issue
