Type 3 Panel Vans are very rare...
I believe they were only made in Australia....
I've been looking thru books for information, but haven't come across any yet....
I've only seen early model [up to 1969] type 3 Panel Vans....

They are about somewhere..... Maybe they were knocked around, as working vehicles and have all ended up at wreckers.... I hope not...

I think Lee is right, Australia only for these beauties. They were quite neat and a full steel panel in the load area right to the front seat.
Import Advantage (now Imparts) used one as their delivery vehicle in Brissy for years. It's still around some where and still in good nick I think.

There is a mint one in Adelaide. It's black with BRM's and a injected 21?? and seriously on of the best cars I have ever seen. I have spoke to the guy who paintind it trying to get him to do mine but very $$$$. It was meant to have had big dollars spent on it and all the panels are nos. They have wooden slats that run down the back inside. I know a guy who knows a guy who has one but took the panels out and replaced them with windows. Aparently I could get my hands on them to make a set on pressings from but then you would be sitting in the back seat looking out at the back of a steal plate.
I wish it would come out to the shows a little more often. I have only seen it once and that was when my friend was doing the injection manifolds on it. There is a Callook cruise coming up and there's rumor it might be coming out...if so I am definately taking some photos.
I think it was and the easter nats a few years ago. Resto64 might have some pics of it somewhere!

it was in a mag recently and he went to get the number plates 2110 re: his engine size but they were gone so he recalculated and got the number plates u see, 2276 pretty sweet

Have seen a few sets of panel inserts too very easy to make a normal square into one.

What abou this one Matara (steve) was selling a while back. I went and looked at it. Very sweet indeed. I ummed and arrhed about it and he decided to keep it. Should have just paid the cash and taken it in his time of weakness.Had windows etc cut into it but was bloody clean rust wise. I think that Aaron guy in SA that owns the black one above eventually got it off him.

Its pretty good, they dude runnign ti is bending over backwards to accommodate our cars. He spent over two or three weeks looking for the right colours for Antartic White and our Moss Green (I think that Dave Birchall helped him out in the end). I never realised Aust Type 3's were different from the rest of them.
