What would you pay for a real set ?
ruckus ·
I paid around 1k for a set of 5 originals with 5 tyres. I think that was fairly good considering their condition etc and what they go for on thesamba. Don't know what I'dpay for repros though?
Octa ·
I paid $450AU for my 2.0 replicas but they were second hand.

As a comparison the Porsche Mahle Gas burners (from the 914-6) weigh less than 4kg 🙂 About the same as original magnesium BRM's. I really like the Gas Burners although I dont think they ever sold the 914-6 here officially so you never see these wheels anywhere
It says on that link 17lbs which is 7.7kg. Genuine 17"x 7 996 Porsche cup wheels weigh about that much 🙂 And they are a much larger wheel.
The American eagle wheels are alloy but maybe its the design and cross section that makes it heavy.

The offset of the 2.0 and the 2.0 replicas are excellent for Type3s, at least for late models.
