as much as i hate to do this but sharpbuilt makes the upright conversion kits but they are about $600 and thats not the whole kit ether so make sure he includes the bush for the fly wheel. his directions leave something to be desired in their level of detail. other than that try wayne penrose

barls ·

ive done this conversion on my 1302 so if you have any question feel free to ask me mate there is also das and a few others that have done this

So are you after parts for the upright type 1 engine? or the pancake type 4 engine? I can help with some type 1 upright parts.
Cheers,
Dustin

what he wants is a t4 upright conversion. which consists of a t4 pancake engine with different tinware

Adam DeBiasi had a complete porsche fan for the type 4 motor if i'm not mistaken. He is in adelaide, ph 08 82627533

Mine cost me $250 thats what sharpie charges for pully and gen stand the rest i built that motor is now sitting in my shed if only i had a camera i could show you it all and mine dont use that stinken system with oil pipes running here and there what a waste of space mine is in the standard spot works like a gem

tim only if looks dont matter it cost so little
hehehehehe

What's the advantage of converting a type 4 engine into and upright? And how much of the engine do you change? Is it just the tinware and locations of alternator?
Just interested.

Dustin
