I think he doesnt actually own the bus but wants $2500 to tell you where one is. Thats why its called a finders fee.
Then you have to negotiate with the owner.

hey, u know i know a guy who has finder fees for parts of and totally complete planes..
all he ever does is matchs buyer to seller all over the world...nothing more nothing less...
and he's allow to charge finders fees...
so in the principle (and this is accepting guy ws above board, had sellers permission to act this way) doubt that guy was any more dodgy than guy i know...
he charged a 10% fee....and if piece is $1m...well, as u can see, it's a good job to get into...
and pls don't bag me, i wouldn't charge finders fee myself...but am saying there is a market for it.

Mt thought for what they are worth.
If you are looking for a barney and cant find one(not exactly falling out of trees) then this guy knows of one, So if you want it and end up doing a deal it is proberbly worth paying him, How much is a barney anyway, the 2.5K is chicken feed compared to how much the thing will eventually end up costing .

My $0.02c is that on a community type forum charging for info isnt fair. People dont ask for fees to solve mech problems or to advertise items.
Professional 'agents' exist in most industries but these run to connect buyers with sellers. Real estate anyone.
If this grew on a community forum it would collapse. I would have already collected the 0.02c up front. Aren't you ripped off!
