I remember one of my christmas holidays down at Gerringong, watching my father dig out 2 cars from the shore line as the tide came in. These weren't 4WD's either.... just normal station wagens. Bloody Idiots.
The truley memorable thing was he did it with a small folding shovel, while locals and caravan park patrons stood around and watched, along with the local cops. What's even funnier is once both the cars where out and the crowd started to disperss the cops 4WD got bogged and he dug them out too!!!

haha...german tourists driving an x-trail on an aussie beach...
that would've been interesting to see them get bogged in the first place..

one of my mates operates a bodyworks and towing business and was asked to retrieve an x-trail that had been damaged on a 4wd track. this was a serious track though - best results are in a Patrol or Landcruiser with a suspension lift and mud tyres. and this x-trail was rooted. tyres slashed and rims damaged, bumpers dented, clutch gone, the list goes on. comes from believing the advertising bs that car companies feed everyone.
