hey im wondering if im better off to sell my car or wreck it...3k if sell it or what about pricing for wrecking and who would take the parts off me or the buyers,,,great motor and box 4 speed,, new starter motor and wiper motor,,,seats re covered, carpet great all windows are 18%black tint in good nick.. mags and tyres have heaps of tread,,front and back bumpers perfect,,bonnet and boot perfect,, LHF,LHR RHR guards are great RHF rust,,,new speedo cable and new fuel gage motor has twin webbers and exstractors,,,lowered body,,,think motor is 1800 not long ago done up ,,........i want a buggy and cant swap the car so not sure will i get more selling for $3k or wrecking it,any advice ,,,thanks colleen

Would be a real shame to wreck it, you should only wreck if the rust has become a nightmare.

hey colleen, waaay easier to sell as a whole then wrecking.. hard to say which way will make you more money, but if you intened on pulling the parts off yourself, factor in a lot of time doing that... you could always get the buyers to pull off the bits unless they were not close by as occurs a lot of the time... good luck!

More chance getting your money selling it complete....otherwise you'll spend ages selling all the bits and you wont sell everything so you will have to take bits to the tip anyway.

also, everthing on your car is now second hand.....if you had the choice to buy something brand new, or brand new that has been fitted to a car which would you choose?

If you reckon the car is worth $3k complete sell it that way as you will reach no where near that recking.

will sell complete thanks,,,,,,,,,,71 super bug,,,dark green,,has sports steering wheel but kept the old steering wheel,,still humin and harin about leaving the cd player in it,,, sure its an 18oo motor,,new battery,,personalised plates,, plates can go or stay,,,have parsel shelf for back but not fitted yet,,,nearly out of rego this month but can re rego,,i swapped a 91 soft top vitara for this vw so it owes me $9k,, but being female got ripped off,,,so will sell for market value its insured for $8k with suncorpe,,have a lot of reciepts for new parts for warrenty,,,will have it up at black duck valley creek at the long weekend in april if anyone wants to have a look,,,, or if in brisbane will bring it round for anyone to see,,,,,,,,,,,,thansk colleen

carisma...u put everything in but price...or did i miss that thru the thread...and it sounds like a really nice car...but i find ppl buy more in july than any other time...(tax chqs, plus their over the xmas spending and easter spending too....)
