WTB: Towbar for beetle.

I'm after a tow hitch for a beetle or a good place to get one made up.

Does anyone have one lying round or something...?

Ive got the bit that goes around the axles and then bolts up to a big angle in
your bumper bar. The bit in the bar got trashed but the rest is ok.

You mean a towbar right?

Got one here off a early beetle. up to 67 probably. Its yours if you can organise to have it collected in Melbourne.

Do You mean a Tow Bar?
or a Tow Hitch, where the beetle is towed by another vehicle

One was for sale on here about a year ago....

Beetle followed the car like a trailer....

all You needed to do was connect up the lights like a trailer..
No one needed to be in the beetle...

Great if Your Beetle broke down....

and the Beetle had to be registered naturally....

Where do most tow bars attach on bugs?

I got one with my 66 and it uses the stock bumper mounts to bolt to.
seems a bit dodgy to me being only attached to the sheet metal of the body.
Is this a common way they are mounted?
