Had a ripper day today. Went to Phillip Island to test drive a few German cars. Not VW but nearly as good.

Had to do practice laps in them with an instructor to try and get the lines right. Got really tough 'cos it was so hard to work out which one to try next. This one was nice.

Had a drifting competition. They soaked the track, switched off the ESP and we had to try and get the things sideways and hold the drift. This bloody thing was hopeless. You'd just get it sideways then the twin superchargers would kick in and DAMN it was hard. This is my attempt with an SL55. Doesn't do that in a beetle.

In this exercise they said, "Accelerate as hard as you can in this SL65 (1000nm of torque), to the other end of the straight then pull it up between the witch's hats.
It'll do 0-100 in 3.8 secs. Was really nice with the roof down in the sun today.

CL 65 AMG = 0-100km/h in 4.64 s, and 1/4 mile in 12.59 s.

Which one does 0-200 in 8?

That SL65 is an animal!!! twin turbo V12. Should see the torque charts it's electronically limited to "only" 1000NM's :bounce Still over 2 tonne and only come in auto tho :duh

Yes, and yes you need to be. You either have to be Valentino Rossi, Garry McKoy, or a supermotard rider.

I've set my bike up with radio, hands free phone, intercom. Don't need no stinking A/C 🙂
