I am now on the official countdown to the last day of my job. I have completed all the work I have had to do, all my cases are complete so I can spend my last days on here !

I have been working on a community outreach program for the frail aged (I am a Nurse). My next job will be working as a Nurse Educator for a major public hospital, so I am very excited.
I still have one more week, unfortunatly !

I guess thats about right, it took a bit over a week for that lady in America to starve to death when they stopped feeding her.
If they are already frail, it might be sooner, then you can just lock the doors and go home.:duh

I have actually had some great outcomes from my program. I don't actually go and do any of the Nursing care. I go and do an assessment of their needs and coordinate other service providers to do this. I am chief delegator !

My mum used to be a cook for a few different nursing homes, and sometimes I would come to work with her as a child of about 10 years old and spend time helping out and talking with the elderly, I have a lot of respect for the elderly and for the people who choose to make a career out of helping them when they have no-one else to turn to.
but I did see an obvious gag, and couldn't resist.
