Hey all, I stumbled over this article in my email news page today. From what I can tell (the article is in german) Volkswagen were working on this car, but have put it on hold for now.
What do you all think of the look of it?
If Petrol prices keep going up.....
and no one shoots any of the head petroleum people....

We'll all be driving Toyota Prius hybrid cars....
So, We had better start saving,
seeing they are $40,000..... for a NEW one,
and used ones are around the same price ???
Honda has one too.....
or there is always the Goggomobile I suppose 🙂🙂
but I'd hate to own an SLR 5000 or GT Falcon etc...
but then the Tiger Tank used 1 1/2 gallons per mile.....
so lucky they don't use those any longer....

that could be used as a philisophical medative triger like does a tree falling in the forest make a noise if there is noone to hear it.

thats a concept car they released the info on last year or the year before.
totally streamlined and super-low wind resistance, runs 100km per 1litre of normal unleaded, and seats 2 people.
in the future, aesthetics in cars are going to be a luxury only the very greedy, rich f**cked up tossers will be able to afford. less resistance means less fuel used to move the car = cheaper to run when petrol is $3/L.
call me strange, but i like it! its very sci-fi 😀

Hehehehe. thats a cheap rig to run.
I have a VS Statesman with a 3.8litre V6. On the hwy i can get 7.5litres per 100. I would rather pay the extra money on fuel and drive with dignity and class than drive a shoebox like that concept car, although, it does kinda look funky.
Cost me 5 bucks a week instead of $50......
Its growin on me.!

That looks like an updated version of a Messerschmidt (the 3 wheeled car- or 4 if you're talking about a Tiger). It's got the same sort of seating arrangement plus the bubble type canopy but much uglier!!!
