I'm sure there's a way to get round this...they found a way last time. I reckon there'll be alot more LWB ones regoed as rebodied beetles.

Just like mine...馃槈

On the other hand, makes mine worth every dollar, right?

pete wood 路

Dam guys, i was planning to start a buggy project next year. We really need to confirm this rumour, perhaps a phone call to the RTA.

Anyways, im in Queensland. Do you know if this could possibly effect me?

You'll be fine, It's probably only NSW. The RTA seems to have something stuck somehere uncomfortable when it comes to anything slightly different to do with modded cars.

Ain't that the F-en truth! But look at what happened with airbags in Qld...

If the car isn't modded (that is, I dont build a beach buggy) but I purchase it new as a turn key from the manufacturer, is that okay to register?

[Im trying to bend the system a bit here]

barls 路

only if the design has been accepted by the rta. which means that the manufacturer will have to meet the current adrs which are pretty tough

pete wood 路

What happened with air bags in Qld?

BTW, are they legal down here NSW?

They should be, trucks and buses of got em...

barls 路

only if fitted as standard equipment or with an engineers mate and its not cheap to get that one passed
