I am glad you are getting a badge for your young friend.
If I had a young person ask me for a badge, I would gladly get one for them, as it means they are not in the mindset that some kids have, where they just go and badge a car. That stinks when that happens.
If anyone reading this has ever badged a car, you will get karma one day, unless you give badges to kids.
I used to get slightly scratched and chipped badges for nicks as a panel beating apprentice. Quite often badges were replaced, and there were quite a few old ones in the storeroom.
