in suva in fiji and have travelled half the island without even seeing one VW (old and new) whats going on??????????

...I have a pic of the Solway Lass...an old tail ship I went on last year...delivery a beetle to Fiji in the 50's...sad to say it's probably rusted awy by now....I don't remember seeing any when I was there...and not seen any in other Pacific Island groups...it would be nice to find it hidden away in a shed somewhere though
I'll see if I can find the pic...Solway Lass sent an email to me of it ...they have the photo in their stair well gallery 😎

but ended up in Gin Gin and has been offroad 15yrs and full resto 95%

Jim ive been to FIJI around 23 times over the years ( we used to go for the weekend when i worked at Qantas )
Ive driven all around n over the Island only ever saw some Kombis ( not Sambas ) in the Early 70s n the last time i was there in 1989 didnt even see a Kombi.

Bout 30 minutes from there apparently.
Might be a few on that island as it isn't the main island? Dunno.

The Fijians are such bad drivers they don't deserve to have VW to drive.
Was there 10 years ago and were the worst drivers I had ever seen.......even worse then my wife !!!!!!!!!!
