on sat a kombi caught on fire on the pacific hwy in
woolgoolga on sat afternoon, didnt see it but locals
told me, had a look on sunday & all that was left
on side of road was a little pile of burnt remains
anybody here hope not

insurance company assessed today so its now theres
apparently going to bris (gateshead) is that sales yards
near the gateway bridge interior panels at the front are
in very good shape & the seats front & back are worth grabbing

two reasons ive found out from stories over the yr's
1 is the bulk wires running thru the firewall gets hot & ignite
2 is the fuel vapour pipes tee section above the flywheel can leak
we have experienced both luckily both spotted in time.
my partner was driving in brissie when noticed smoke stopped &
checked back to find wireing ablaze so jann (partner) put it out.
we were filling up in armidale late one winters night, petrol attendant
filled for us so paid then went to start but fuel smell very strong so checked the back & fuel was pouring out of tee section straight onto
the flywheel had to push out of the way & sython fuel out asked attendant how much he put in & reply was as much as he could so i explained
to him that the in ground is cold going into a tank which is much warmer
& that petrol does expand & contract with cold & warm conditions but
not in such a calm way "dickhead"
3 dont have a filter between pump & carbs as it has pressure

Not replacing the 30 year old original hoses. Replacing with poor quality fuel line, as bought from places such as superautocheapone. Using plastic tees between the carbs. Carb fittings fall out of carb... wire them in.
