After taking my kombi to the mechanic and hearing the bad news of how much its going to fix her.. i decided that i have to sell her!!! 馃檨
i didnt think it would be this hard to sell her but it seems i have become very attached!! ive been having a few teary moments thinking what it will be like without her (i dont like the thought of it).... oh its soo sad.. anyways nimbin mardi grass will be my last trip.. then we'll be letting her go to her next journey....

One of the heads has to be replaced, i cant remember what he said was wrong with it, but wasnt starting or running properly..
i think whats also making me sad too is cause i just quit my 'proper' job and was doing the markets in the kombi and was trying to save some money to do some travelling in the kombi.. but that has all changed now!! ahh well life goes on!!
if anybody has a casual job for me on the sunny coast that would be lovely thanks!!!

get a manual, and start fixing it yourself..........you will learn so much, and save heaps, especially if you are pov and thinking of travelling. It really isn't as scary as it seems.

true dont give the kombi up, i just bought a caravelle(bye bye 4wd) because i couldnt get enough veedubbing in my beetle on club rego, am i insane? NO just totally hooked on dubs:thumb:thumb

My kombi needed a new engine so it sat in the backyard for 12 months until I had saved up enough to get a new one, I also sourced most of the other parts I needed from the forum...Don't give up on her, there is plenty of help and resources out there ! 馃檪

kara... i know the feeling.
cherry bug had been giving me the sh*ts with so many repairs and bad luck bruisings for the past year, i was all ready to give her up and part her out... even made a mention of it to guage interest.
cried my eyes out for a whole day when i made the decision...
and now shes sitting under my parents carport, getting started lovingly every week by my dad, and getting driven down the road every 2 weeks, why? because i couldnt bring myself to sell her, and my parents finally realised it would be a stupid idea.
now im slowly saving up to fix her up really well, taking my time and learning all about how things work.
i get around on a bike now (even home at midnight!!) because thats a "sacrifice" im willing to make to save up and fix my car properly.
what im trying to say is... dont sell the kombi... you wont stop crying if you do :cry
