Hi my names james just bought an '66 ex RAAF splitty and im chasing some parts to restore the old girl. IM chasing after window and door rubbers original vw emblem also the roof window rubbers any ideas or info would be a great help .

Hey there,
As far as I know you will have to make the two roof rubbers yourself. These should be availiable in some generic seal format from clark rubber or the like.
If you search for RAAF in the forums, you should find some info on the paint chips for the 'yellow'

The paint colour I stuck there isn't one that you would really want to use, but a good paintshop should be able to get you a new 'crap thats bright' yellow to match 😉
Our original GSE colours have a lot of lead in them okay 🙂
From what I have heard from the old hands, the seals were generic for the extra windows we cut into most of of vehicles back then especially the roof windows over the drivers and passengers seats (we used them to look for falling dirt darts - paratroops :P).
