Hi guys and gals. I'm just wondering if anyone knows where i can pick up a cheap bug for resto? I am looking for something solid but needing work. No rot boxes! I'm new to Oz so I haven't a clue where to go. Is there a specialist who has 'projects' to buy at reasonable prices? They don't even have to be running. Ideally, I'd like to find somewhere (even a breakers) where i can look at a selection of VeeDubs that need work or that can be good parts cars. I do need parts for my bugs in Ireland too but that's another days work!

Any idea where there is a VW breakers around Sydney? Need to get parts for other cars in Ireland but also want to see if there are any 'jalopies' needing rescuing!

I've got a 67 project vehicle in Rose Bay.. Want 1800 - 2000 for it.. It only needs a tidy up inside and probably new paint

they do vws and a few others as well. other than that i dont think there are any vw only wreckers in sydney. you could also try roses deals on wheels up the coast.

theres a cheap '56 sunroof beetle, slammed suspension, nice patina, wind in your hair motoring. one owner so no neeed to bring a magnet. should be able to pick up for good price. couple of hours to detail cut & polish and wallaaaa!!! 😉

why not take a short drive down to wollongong where you will find a couple of good condition beetles suitable for restoration ( for under $1500)?:party
