It's obviously (?) the base screw of a headlamp, but what year is it and why.

not sure of year...but i think the y relates to the fact that the screw is on the outside of the rim, rather on the chrome rim itself....

just an idea...

not sure but if it was a bus wouldnt it be on the side unless the pic has been altered
so that would put it early beetle going on my therory
being seperate it would be split early
but as i said i dont know
