travelling around australia in 2001/2 me and the missus had a pale blue with a white roof 1969 kombi. had a full length roofrack in silver paint, 1600 engine, big exhaust, and dalmation print seat covers up front. the back had a cupboard built in, which made a double bed.
It was on QLD plates 651 FHR
If anyone knows where it is, i'd love to find out.

Did you treat your kombi well? Maybe it run away because ot never got a lube job 😉

Sorry, that was no help. Have you looked in the spotter's forum? Or maybe put a post there as well. good luck finding it. If you have a picture it may help us keep an eye out. Here in sydney, especially around Bondi, one can see 10 kombis in one day, and most of them with out-of-state plates.
