My mum got egged!!!

https://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/threads/39144/my-mum-got-egged

bajachris88 ·

It was terrible. Some daring lil' shit/s knocked on the door, waited for mum to walk to it, and out comes a flying egg. Made a huge mess on the dirty floor (something that a tired mum who has had a crap day doesn't need). Not only that, but splashed egg all over her, and leaving its odour on our front step.

So my brother and I (being big fellas, me a proud 6 foota (180cm)), went out to look. Surely the culprit would be hiding somewhere around here, cause we heard no cars, and hadn't seen anyone in the distance run away. So we waited and watched, while my dad was daydreaming about murdering this egg-thrower and washed out the front doorstep and while my mum cleaned up the walkway tiles.

We saw no-one, except a young adulenscent far down the street, and they looked too tough, and far, and innocent to bash and accuse. (yeah i know its illegal to hurt anyone, even if they are a lil' turd, and i could have been sued, but why not) he just walked off, he was pretty far away, and he wasn't that much of a suspect.

So after 45 mins of patroling and hiding in the shadows of night, waiting for the culprit to do something stupid (like as though think the path is clear for them to return home or wateva), and we still heard nothing. There was a party going on up the road, but it didn't sound that rough, and was pretty far away.

So then i went around the back to wash my feet from walking in the egg, and came right here. My parents did look around the back, and my brother and I patrolled and snooped around in the neighbours front yards, still didn't find anyone.

Its been like 1 and a half hours since its happened, and the house has been cleaned really well, and we can still smell it. It wasn't rotten, mind you.

We did have a conspiracy theory though. Cause we have been getting our house priced by realestate, and they seemed desperate to sell out house (Saying its not worth much, can sell it quickly and all), we may suspect it could be the realestate trying to push us to sell from this neighbour hood. Everyone in my house, including my parents reckon so.

We are waiting to see if they would ring tomorrow asking if we were interested or ready to put our house on the market.

It most likely wasn't anyone in the street, cause we have been getting along peacefully for years with everyone, and there are no new people who have just moved in. Its all good here, so i wonder who it was. hmmm.

Have you guys ever had your house vandalised or terrorised?

boersch ·

next time i'll put the stinger on so you can hear me

bajachris88 ·

As i was just proof reading the original message i typed, i heard footsteps outside my window in the study.

I got my big bro to take the front while i walked out the back.

Then i heard more footsteps rapidly racing though the next door neighbours garden, and up into the culvisac 3 doors away.

So i ran to the front with my brother, and saw noone, except that young adulenscent we saw before walking up the street this time rather than away from us and he walked straight into a house in the culvisac. Bit sus with his timing.

But then as i walked up, cause there had to be 2 involved (one to knock the door and to throw the egg, with the quick timing and all), we reckon its a group of kids up the street at the party.

So i just went back inside, and my parents are still trying to get rid of that smell. I wasn't going to walk up to that party and wrongfully accuse anyone, but anyway, it was and still is an interesting night. (Note, i just went out 5 minutes ago)

jenz58 ·

....Chris I doubt that it's the realestate people....I'd say kids playing pranks for what ever reason....

I hope it doesn't happen again...not good...I doubt that it will...

No not had problems like that....only a couple of nice things taken from the front verandah....and broken into a few years ago

boersch ·

i agree with jenz.. would've been kids, most likely from that party. brings back fond memories of highschool ehehe

jenz58 ·

...yep from the party...nothing you can do....just hope they don't come back which I doubt...I imagine they'd only stike once or pick on someone else....did you tell any of the neighbours Chris

bajachris88 ·

Na, they seemed too ocupied in their houses. My mum screamed really loudly at the time, and none of them came out to see what was going on.

It could have been an axemurder, and the neighbours still wouldn't have known what was going wrong.

frenzix ·

bajachris88 ·

jenz58 ·

...hopefully the shit stops all around now....have your parents calmed down Chris

frenzix ·

is that a threat jenz?

frenzix ·

you'll have to drive 2000kms

bajachris88 ·

Well, my parents are still pretty pissed, and they finally killed most of the egg smell. They had to wash so many fricken times, and it got everywhere around the front entry of our house. And we had our bags, school blazers, suitcases and everything in that entry way, so some of it got messed. Not too much, but it was so bloody annoying.

My parents are stuffed and tired now, just chill'in, watching tv while sipping a glass of red wine (no, we aren't rich). But their still pissed, and i am too.

frenzix ·

keep an eye out, they'll be back. Possible they wanted to egg someone else in the house. Just watch out for the driveby eggings, we did one back in school. Must have been about 50 eggs, the nursing home didn't know what hit it.

Alex Holzl ·

Well maybe granny thought it was chris's mum who was in the egg mobile

jenz58 ·

.....YES Timmy....you'd better watch out ....n be able to run like dat mouse 😠

WABaja ·

There are far too many suspects with a motive in this Mystery.. but I'll try to narrow it down for you with the step method...
The way that it works is, the person standing the closest will be the culprit..

Right, now, would everyone who has NOT read a post by mynameischris88 please take one step Backward, for You are Not a suspect...

Uh Oh...

when i was a kid many moons ago we got egged by this kid up the road that wanted to go out with my sister but she said no, well this kid egged our house all the time so me and my brother,,put fire crackers in there letter box and blew it up ....and then the eggs kept going on ,, so we got some condecristles, and put them in there inground pool ,, it made the water go purple and stained all the cement the pool was made of inside,,,they had to drain the water and scrub the pool.... never had a egg thrown at our house again,,,my brother ended up marring the egg throwers sister,,so we laugh about it all the time,,,

rose ·

Two years ago we where living in a rental property and around midnight I heard sirens and a big banging noise in our yard.

I looked out the back door while my slack husband was still in bed snooring, I then looked out the front door and saw no one. Still wondering what the hell the noises where had another look out the back door when I heard a voice from the front of the house asking if I live here. I went around the front door there was a police man at my front door, and about 5 police cars. They where after 2 car thiefs, mean while all the neigbours are outside now.

Had a closer look out front while the police looked out back. Noticed that the car thief had ran through from the street behind, through the neigbours back yard over the side fence, then ran accross the top of the garage roof he then ran accross the awning on the side of the house up onto the top of the house then jumped down on top of my BMW bastard broke my sunroof lucky didn't crease the roof, and lucky he didn't jump on the twin cab parked right beside the bm.

He then ran off accross the road down into the bush accross the road through black berry bushes, the police didn't catch the bastard and we had to pay $400 access to have repairs done to my car.

And the car that they had stolen was just a hyundai that they had ditched in the street behind. The police dusted the bm but couldn't get anything off it. Hubby finally got out of bed to find out what all the racket was about.

This was a great neighbourhood we where there for 13 months while our house was being built and the neigbour even had his car stolen from the footpath one night a commodore.

first, tim i dont live 2000km away....in fact, im visitng there very soon....neone know his address...what was ur last name???

secondly chris, it happens...its sux, and its horrid to clean up...but its likely to be kids...and just a silly prank...id actually be surprised if there were others who had eggs smashed on front veranda, or in their letter boxes...

and heres a thought...person most likely lives local...so put do a letter drop in ur street and one other guy lives in (one who was wondering) as a good enighbour would do..... if culprits live with parents...parents most likely noticed a sudden decline in the egg quanity...and bet the kids parents have a nice chat to them about egging houses etc....well they will if their good parents...when ever mine did something wrong i made them go apologise...but expected same too.

we once had a real ratbag kid across road from us...he threw egg in my pool, so i scooped out, when back to his mother...asked for the boy...grabbed his hand and put egg in his hand...smashing it in process saying...here, this is urs, noticed it landed in my pool, thought ud want it back...egg was dripping from his hand...his mother laughed at him....he was not happy kid...

but there u go. His mother knew he was naughty...i just pointed it out more than most others....he hated it...he held street to randsom...gum in kids hair, throwing things at ppls house...putting things in their exhaust...really bad

but this one incident...sounds like a prank....a one off prank...

Boozer ·

pfft. my solution: landmines in the front yard.:duh

bajachris88 ·

Good idea lol.

Hey boozer, i saw ur baja at klubfest.

Boozer ·

Yeah it was there in all it's rusty, crappy glory. now did you see my new kombi?

bajachris88 ·

Which one? I knew there was a rusty one at the swap and trade thing on a trailer for sale. Did u get that one?

Wait, that baja green one was also for sale too. Hmm, so which was urs?

bugeyedbabe ·

boozer...land mines r a bit extreme....

oh wait...ur the dungeon keeper rite...

lol

chris baja was sold for $725 (inc deleivery...) at klubfest...

Boozer ·

It was next to the swap area, see thread for pics.

bajachris88 ·

Yeah, i saw the pictures. Nice score mate. What u plan to do to it?

Boozer ·

egg your house.

nah. I don't know where you live.:thumb:duh Short term I'll patch up the rust, clean it up and drive it around for a while. Long term, i'll use the running gear in my next baja. Longer term I'll get it going again with my baja and have two cars.:thumb or something like that.

bajachris88 ·

Nice mate. lol

bajachris88 ·

Nice mate. lol

Oh, one thing too. What was with the large yellow cushiony head in the back of ur car? No was wasn't trying to rob it lol. Just was taking a look at ur baja.

Boozer ·

it's a smiley face. there's two of them actually. they're infesting my baja.:thumb

bajachris88 ·

lol, smilies infestation ay, i wonder how that can be removed. I would be scared to have a whole set of them storming in my car, just by looking at them to the left of me while i write this reply is scary enough. Especially that darth vader one, let along the couple that are puking everywhere. lol

amazer ·

You're all a sympathetic lot.

I have lived in this house on and off for 30 years (boughtit off my parents) and this neighbourhood has gone way downhill since I was kid.

I hear all the latest gossip about who is a fn c and how this c slept with that s and im telling johnno and he will kick her in the....

I was at the post office the other day and a woman on her mobile phone was telling her 'friend' on the other end that she better fn tell so and so that she didnt fn say a word and so and so has been going off his fn c all day and its not her fault... this is at the counter. She had to pause the conversation a few times to tell the cashier what she wanted.

After a party I could hear a big argument about "Why did you have to F her she was a virgin" and the arguments against this girls sexual status.

A 8 year old girl gave me the finger as I stopped to let her cross the road on her way home from school.

A teenage girl called out "hello aunty Di" to the woman 2 doors down. Then she asked "you dont remember me do ya" And then followed 5 minutes of "Di ya fn whore slut"

I've had my bins stolen. I've had my bins burnt. After one night of widespread neighbourhood bin kicking over and bin arson I now have to wait until the truck comes before taking them out.

Had my car broken into a couple of times.

The colorbond fence I put in down the back at my expense has been kicked and bashed and had panels knocked out, to the point where I dont bother replacing them anymore.

Had the letter box smashed.

Had shaving cream sprayed all over the kombi.

Had a McDonalds thickshake thrown at my car.

Kids around here joyride push bikes. Everywhere you go you see abandoned bikes. I think they steal them and dump em around the corner from home.

The graffitti around here is amazing, and they do it in the open.

The local parks have floodlights on them to try and curb vandalism, no help. They get smashed up and burnt.

According to neighbourhood watch a couple of years ago, my house is one of only 3 in the street that havent been burgled.

.....and the house has been egged once.

Neighbourhoods change. The only solution I have come up with is to sell up and get the highest mortgage I can and move into the most exclusive neighbourhood, in a vain attempt to keep away from low class scum. Thats what I am doing as soon as I can get employment.

jenz58 ·

....my goodness what a neighbour hood.....:jesus

You don't need those sort of stresses.....I have a rented house next door....looks like hill billies live there....the owners are in the country living in a mansion and let this house fall apart....took ages for me to get them to acknowledge papers to fence....finally done.....had to threaten to report newish tenant to council for air polution as too lazy to put out rubbish and would burn it plastic and all in the backyard...now the bins sit outside until they have to empty the house contents into it every fortnight or so ..... Oh burning rubber tyres is such a good idea...starting the BBQ with old oily rags.....:cry

I had a used condom left in my letter box recently ....nice find when I got the mail:duh

bajachris88 ·

yeah, if u get a cheap house, u have to expect crap, disrespect and carelessness from the other lower social economic status people. I live in that type of area. It sucks. We get craploads of graffitti, even paint sniffers that do it no matter who is around em', we got fences kicked in (like what u said, lucky ours i wooden), and you here the regular police siren. Also, not long ago we heard an explosion (it shook the bloody ground, and was definitely not a fire work), and we also heard a gun shot a year ago.

I spose its around quite alot. It may sound bad from what i have said, but this is just a regurgitation of what has occured over the years, not all at once yesterday or anything. Oh, and dont forget the eggs, lol.

We have been lucky enough to not be broken into, and our cars have been fine. However, we have had people walking through our back yard, even though its fenced. Most likely trying to look for something to steal.

Its all crazy. The best way to prevent this crap is to find a richer place where people tend to respect each other and are happy, or to get a very large acerage, where no one could be bothered to walk all the way to annoy you. By all means, there are nice people within the area i live, but the crap that goes on is just so annoying. And its mainly done by kids. Except the rough driving and hooning in the streets.

Oh well. Just gotta live withit, and then hopefully move out of my parents place to somewhere nice. Either the coast (which will unfortunately be a small block, due to the way coastal developments are these days), or a nice acerage not too far from nowhere, but where its quiet.

Be a while before i get a chance to do that.

bajachris88 ·

Oh, i know what u mean jenz. We had this place owned by ****** just 2 houses away, and it hadn't been kept tidy for years!!!

The grass was huge, there fence was rotten and ready to fall over, god knows what creatures were hiding in there, and it was totally run down. And after complaints to the council, they finally took out the lawn mower, but they did the worst job. It must have been the 1st time they ever mowed a lawn, cause there were patches of long grass everywhere, lol. Im serious, Just think of seeing a strip of lawn that looks like a lawn mower has been doing doughies over it.

Then, i think after a few weeks with still more complaints, they paid a block to tidy it up. But (sigh), it sux.
:puke:cry

I've had neighbours who dont care for their property before, but never what I have had in te last 3 to 4 years. The Insley family is notorious for having the typical american trailer trash looking house that you see on US movies. And the house diagonally behind us had grasss 3 foot high, that never ever got mowed. The house on the corner now is always a mess with lounges and kids toys and scrap fences (they're fencing contractors)strewn across the front lawn, and they still havent done all the repairs form when they had a house fire 10 years ago. The house opposite them has big card nights, and they must be playing for high stakes because the arguments they have are very regular. But these people dont bother me much. Other people are probably just as concerned at how I leave my grubby kombi on the front lawn and leave a bare patch in the grass.

My area was built in the 60's for the 10 pound tourists coming from England and Europe. They came out here and were given housing commision houses in return for boosting our workforce. Some people ended up buying the houses, some didnt. My parents bought this house from one of them english families.

Its always been, and always will be, a lower income area. Only problem is... back then lower income didnt mean low class, low inteligence, low morals, low life grubby scum. It just meant that your parents and their parents before them were low income. Its just the general decay of society that makes these people who they are.

theverybigtallman ·

hey chris you say there was two of them? that why they invented double barrel shotguns.
