Coopgirl, th ekids and I went to Lithgow in the square today to catch up with Mick and take some pics of his ride...

Nothing like cruising in a '32 bucket with a flathead!

Sounds like a great day ! Nice ride too.

My uncle is slowly putting together a 32 coupe with flathead, offy heads, triple 97 strombergs and all that. Will be well wicked when its finished.

His time is taken up more now by rebuilding the first ever Super Modified speedway car (think the first ever dinkum Sprint car) that came into australia. GRound up rebuild, its gonna be sweet. Strong 350 chev with 6 stromberg 97's ! Its the mother of all manifolds and linkages....

Nice Bucket - we had rods up and down our street all weekend - it's a culdesac and only 8 houses up either side - drove us bat shit - hell if we got a dollar for everytime one went past it'd be $200.00 in the kitty

I know that they are available as kits. (well, i think i saw them as, when i went to a kit car website about a manufacturer in Australia. They sell classic hot rods and all).

Was that a kit ur driving, or an original? Wateva though, it looks mad. Just out of curiousity, thats all.馃榾

Hey Matt,
looks like it needs another four sparkplugs on the that head there...:P

Nice ride, is it noisy?

It's an all steel deuce. There are only 2 buckets made from '32s in Australia. Even rodders don't cut up a steel duece anymore...

It was cut down from a tourer. A Model T back was added behind the tourer "tub".

The split wishbones were replaced with a fourbar for engineering.

Loud as all hell! Brilliant!

First to third (3 speed crash box) in in about 20 metres. Will go form a grand to four grand in about 2 seconds so first and second are hardly required. Those sidevalves have far more torque than you would credit them!
