Bit anxious to be honest, but flying out tomorrow to Fiji for those that didn't know.
No mobile phone service. A laptop, but no internet. Dunno how the hell I am going to manage, but it should be fine.
So those that are trying to contact me, please be patient. If there is any dramas regarding the forum, either email Andrew or Brad, or if not that urgent, I will be home by next Wednesday night or some crap like that..
So keep it real. Keep it positive. See you soon.

.....don't drink too much kava you might start wanting to walk on hot coals ....ouch!!
Have fun!!
jenz58 ·
...seeing how we travel on our stomachs a lot...you've got to have the traditional Fijian Kokoda....fish marinated in lime juice....usually with some coconut milk as well.....so yummmmmmm....it's a must have if you like seafood
HotRodMatt ·
Don't worry about Fijian kava. It's crap. Go to Vila for that!
If guys come up and ask your name and they have little wooden swords don't tell them. Your name will be cared into them so quickly and they will follow you for an hour trying to get you to buy them.
Even if gardens aren't your thing, make sure you get to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. They make the best drink out of orchid petals. have a glass there and buy a bottle to take. Mix with vodka and it's the best.
Try and get to Treasure Island as well. You can catch lobsters with your hands about 15 metres off the beach.
Have fun.

BULA!
Back folks. Great place, and Matt... gotta say.. you saved me.. I remembered what you wrote, or some of it, and got myself out of that situation.. Thanks heaps man.
What a great place, and the people are super friendly..
Nadi was sorta bitter-sweet.. Trying to support the local traders but were getting hassled by people and that can intimidate you. Hmm.. specially us newbies..
