I have just added a few photos in to the Gallery if anyone wants to see them. It is the last Album at this point dated today. I can't seem to rename it so it is still untitled. Some of the same photos are on the main page too as I put them there when trying to work out how to add photos.
Anyway, here are our 2 girls that won their categories (late beetle and water cooled)

Hey Yogie,
very cool pic, and nicer bugs!
I was looking at the over riders on the old bug on the day. Do you know what models they are for?
I have a set for my '73 L bug, but they look smaller than yours?? (not as tall) I have no idea what mine are off.
Cheers,
Richard

These were bought NOS off samba and I had them chromed when they got here. They are different to the ones I have seen for Australia which are much smaller than these. I think they suit the bigger bumper though. When I bought them, they were for a 68-72 and only cost something like $40US plus shipping. I have another set at home for our 72 Karmann Cabriolet we are also restoring.
Cheers

Cheers,
Must be a US thing I guess, bigger than Aussie ones!
Congrats on the trophies also! 😎

Thanks Andy. The new vert has won a couple of times now but this was the first show for the 68 (although we have owned her for 12 years). We only finished a bare metal restoration of her about 3 weeks ago and were stoked she won. Made our day it did.

There was a guy in the swap meet with a whole host of VW toys. He was right next to me but I never got the chance to even browse - people wanted to talk about Volkswagens all day.
Does anyone know who he was, name, contact phone, etc?
Cheers

No Problems. I wish I had taken more pictures but I was rushed to get around and look at everything and we also had to set up a swap site. Missed a lot of the kombis as well and there were lots of good ones. Fortunately others have posted them here. Also missed out on the type 3s. Next time though.
