my indicator switch (a late 60s cast arm one) today failed to engage 'right' and whenever I do it starts smoking
I need one quick! does anybody in brisbane have one?

What are you doing with the old one? Don't throw it out. Someone (like me) with some time and electrical knowhow might be able to fix your old one and make it servicable again for a future project.
Let me know if you are goign to chuck it.
