Finally decided to wreck my wife's 1970 1500 Beetle. Its been in the family for 13yrs! Engine and gearbox are both good.
Let me know what parts you need.

whats the condition of the black plastic vents at the inside bottom of windscreen?
Anyone know if these are the same as a '68 beetle?

Price on complete engine, if you can get it out of the car i can organise to pick it up? Also more detailed description of the engine's condition....

Kafer lover - the condition of the black plastic de-misting vents inside the front screen are excellent. There are three of them - I am not sure if the '68 has the same number size.
Dr-Drift - I can pull the motor outfor you. The car was used as daily transport by my wife for 9.5 years. We then had our first child and had to get a 'family' car. At the time we stopped using it the engine was running perfectly. It will need the muffler replaced however (I can probably help you there aswell). I am after $250 for it.

Forgot to mention that the car also has very comfortable donor front seats (Barina - I think?).
These are attached to original VW sliding seat frame bases.
They are a light-beige/cream in colour and in good condition except for the rotating seat-back inclination knob (plastic is broken on drivers side) - this would easily be fixed.
Thses seats could be fitted to any other 1500 beetle in around 10 mins. $80 (pair)
Car also has original cream low back interior.

Hey cray,
The bonnet has no bog, but is not in the best condition - you are probably better off finding another one - sorry!

could be interested in the Quarter vent glass and frames. if you wish to seperate from the doors.

Couple of pictures of the seats.
S A S - The bumpers have a few dings in them - so probably not what you're after., and the running boards are not great (better off with new ones!).
