Wanted .. front bumper for 59 model bus. Do they make reproduction or am after one in really good condition. Have already tried Roy.

Ribbed bumpers are really hard to get.
I had a set of them that took me 3 years to get hold off, sold them a year ago.
I think classic are doing repros from Schofield.
Good luck, at least its not the rear they are impossible to get.

59 Bumper would be a slash style. Is this what your after??

I have a front bumper that needs front irons, bar only. Straight, but would need a clean up and one side bracket replaced.

Sorry, I thought it was still ribbed till 59.
Must be 58 the last year of the ribbed.

There are lots of changes around this time and some 59's has the ribbed (extra pleasure) and others had the slash...

Dave its the other way around now.
I have rear repro ribbed bumpers coming in on the next container. Also the early split slashed rear bumpers.
Front ones are only available second hand. But we are still searching

Early 59 Ribbed
Late 59 rounded with slashed ends, 60 by the time they were registered.

Didnt think I was wrong about a 59 having ribbed, but I was willing to accept another opinion.

Not saying who's right or who's wrong but i have never seen a 59 with ribbed bumpers. Can anyone shed some light on this??

I am having the numbers checked out through Germany.
I was told it was a 59 but since found out it could be a 58.
All I know for definate is that its bloody old

Also I thought the bumpers changed with the rear lights at 60,
I will have to get the bible out(david eccles, Transporter 50-67 guide)

in australia the 58 did have a ribbed bar and the big change was the slash back in 59...some of the 58 ckd kits may have carried on to 59,but generally this is the quick check..eg b/bar type fitted determinded the year model cheers dsk steve

It's the slash bumper i am after. I have the brackets but need a real good bar. I was hoping i could get repo from somewhere. If not real straight original.

Shiiping shouldn`t be an issue. I use Bus Freight to ship big stuff (that Aust. Post can`t ship).
I`ve sent bumpers before from Adelaide to Melb. and also to Sydney. Cost about $30 delivered to the door.
Won`t find cheaper than that!

Saw Roy's rear slash bumpers, noice...I'm in for a front if he's (anyone) has got 'em - to go on a 60. I've got okay ones, just would like new ones ... c'mon Roy, you the man these days...
