whats a AMD 300? I'm after a socket A AMD chip if its 1gig~1.6gig

AMD 300Mhz = 0.3gig hz

It is not a graphics blaster PC for current games.
It is nowadays suitable for internet browsing, e-mail, word processing and server work. I had to update as I am doing digital video editing now.

or I have to throw it in the bin

Mate if you don't end up selling or giving it away, consider recyling it, they get refurbished and distributed to those who can't afford a computer or have disabilties etc etc

Secondly, old CRT screens contain a lot of lead in the glass, not good in landfill.

Here's a link to a Victorian company:

PS. Apologies about the heater boxes, I found out mine were fine.

The screen has been given away already, but I definitley will recycle if not taken. I wont actually throw it in the bin.

We try to be pretty good with our waste at home, and even though we only have a small wheelie bin, we only put it out every 3 or sometime 4 weeks. We prefer to reduce waste.
