erm

i'm sorry to say this, but a formula steering wheel with an empi gt horn button is not the same thing as a geniune empi gt steering wheel.

Guy_H ·

I have posted up the page out of the Empi catalogue on there now (1967 Empi catalogue).

There are several types of Empi steering wheels.

SPRINTSTAR ·

That is not an empi steering wheel, it is in fact an English made les Leston wheel as shown on the 'L' over the other 'L' logo on the middle spoke. The centrecap emblem is only a sticker off an Empi Sprintstar wheel and they never came like this. I'm sure this all just an honest mistake...
Cheers,

if you look closely enough to the picture, particularly at the end of the spokes where they join the rim, you can see that these two steering wheels, while very similar, are not the same.

ruckus ·

one has four holes and the other five for instance

looks like a speedwell or maxrob with empi badging possibly?

regardless, is still an exceptional wheel!

SPRINTSTAR ·

It's a Les Leston, English made. Speedwell were all 'five holed' including the Universal Empi wheel.
