Okay all you freaks... what handbrake cables do I need for my Country Buggy? Splitty Kombi? Early Beetle? I can't get my rear brake drums off for a while to measure/check, but I'd likle to buy the new cables...

Ring Volksbahn, Leanne there knows all the specifics for country buggies and stocks parts for them as I understand it.

oiroit... will do. I just don't want to be paying premium for 'special' bits for a CB when they are in fact standard VW bits from another model...

g day CB cables are just that,vw made a cable with a bug lenght with a bus input at the backing plate...swing axle 181 h/cables will work..u2u me for more info and source cheers dsk steve

i used split kombi and got some ends swaged on cost me $3 a cable to do
put cables in and mark the length but putting tape around the cable
pull them out and take to shop
that was the easiest way i found
