Hi
The one that Vic was selling, I sold to a freind of his named Steve in about 1976 when I was working in VW dealer. Cant remember the price. I reckon it would be a handy thing to have for surf boards etc

so its a 1500 or so, with a split beetle fibreglass insert into orig. window hole safari style. cool, but i'd prefer the normal window safari style!
crewcabconnection 路
see all you Beetle kids just want to be Buses really. Long live the real safaris.

true, its hard to pass up a set of OG bug eater safari windows!

I'm not normally keen on fake stuff, but I actually really like that beetle's back window!

Now, i have been thinking about this, and it may be a lil' farfetched, however, after observing a Kommando Kar kit for bugs, in the kit it comes with split window inserts. Therefore, because this car we are seeing looks as though its just a standard rear big window bug with a split window insert, I think that it is possible that this person could have bought that split window insert, and didn't bother welding it in and fabricated it like to fold in and out like a safari window. Here, take a look:
(And look through the products/pricing on that site)
Except in this pic, for the kommando Kar split window, they have welded it in:
