But did they do it??

nope. plain and simple. they interveiwed that bimbo girl and showed about 10 secs of the movie... and thats it.
Apparantly she didn't even know how to drive a manual before the movie!!

shes only just turned 18, not much time to learn manual when you are being choufered (spellcheck?) everywhere

Little unfair Jo
most americans drive autos, they aren't that much more expensive over there andto get a manual is harder. She would have learnt to drive at school (if she went to a real one that had Drivers Ed, as opposed to home/wprk tutoring etc) and it would have been an Auto. Turst me, a lot of my americans friends can't drive manuals... the sarcastic comment from us was that they might spill their coffee if they had to change gears manually..........

Nothing wrong with that, I didn't know how to drive manual till a few years ago. Bought a WRX and forced myself to learn. My first bug was a semi auto. NOw I drive manual all the time, wouldn't go back to auto

Yeah i guess. Where i live manuals are much more common...
I was probably in a mood when i said that... sorry all!

Thats cool, I didn't think that sounded like you normally. We have a lot more manuals out here, I think they are more fun than autos. But auots have a place, they are great to drive when you have either had knee surgery or when you have a cast on your right/left leg 馃檪 Should have seen the cops face when I got out of my Mums old car with crutches and the cast 馃榾 all he could say was be careful!! (Disclaimer: This was back in the 80's okay!!)
