I'd like to get a birth certificate for my Beetle. I found a thread with the details but it's two years old: does anyone know if the service is still available and the price is still 15 euros?

Volkswagen vehicle from the vehicle database and to draw up a

Vehicle identity certificate

with the recorded data.

We ask you to inform us about the chassis number of your Volkswagen.

The price for each certificate is 15 euros / 15 US dollars (cash with order or

I think its still available but I believe the price has gone up. I think you can find out more details on the museum's website.

I got a reply from the museum today. This is what it says:

We are pleased to research data of your Volkswagen and to draw up a birth certificate with the recorded data regarding original engine, colour, date of manufacture, port of destination...

The price for this service is 25 euros which you have to pay „cash with order“, please. Our terms of payment are cash or via Visa/Mastercard – card number and expiry date.
