vw beetle 1600 fuel injected motor

I would like to import one of these from the US(postcode or zip:55109 Maplewood MN) anybody have an idea how much it would weight and cost to ship to Melbourne?The motor has exhausts and no dizzy or alternator.How do i get motor picked up and shipped from down there?I would appreciate any advice.Cheers

A T1 engine weighs around 110kg from memory.
Why not get a solid 1600 here and get FI stuff sent over?

the us efi bug engine produces less hp than a n ozzy dualport....you are better off with a mexican efi engine which can be upgraded via the ecu for a lot less bucks.the case in the us motor and fan housing are diff to ozzy stuff..built to endure a bit more heat cheers steve
